They Say I’m Cocky … Say What?

July 13, 2014 by Dr. Stacey A. Maxwell

Locate and introduce your inner-critic to your endearing sassiness and cockiness.  Our spiritual energy contains both the masculine and feminine energy and the only difference with our physical expression is by 1% towards either male or female.

One of the struggles so many face once they become consciously aware or awakened is their desire to increase alignment with ascension and fully live the life of their dreams with purpose and passion through co-creation.

Once we begin to understand that our core-essence of Being is Spiritual Energy, we embrace our Divine power and receive the holly grail of knowledge with finding our authentic true-self.  We become more accepting of ourself and others; and we are willing to do the inner-work to forgive, release, heal and learn from whatever blockages that may be holding us back in life.  We’ll discover our life’s purpose and passionately focus on implementing our unique innate gifts and talents regularly but some of our most desired achievements may continually elude us whether it be in love, abundance, right-relationships or health.

This is where we need to find our sassiness and cockiness and introduce them to our inner-critic.  We are an expression of God/Goddess manifested into physical form and there is immense momentum in owning our fullest expression of self on all levels of Being; emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, creatively, financially and so on.  Our inner-critic is an expression of the beautiful Ego-mind which tells us “you can’t, you shouldn’t, you’re not talented enough, good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, tall enough, thin enough, rich enough, who do you think you are and what will they think?”

Regardless of how spiritually aware we may be, many people still find themselves slightly dimming their light from their fear based mind-chatter which prevents them from fully achieving all that they desire and the only way to overcome it is by being sassy and cocky with our magnificent self by loving ourself even more!

Here are few affirmations and incantations (which are voice fluctuations and moving the energy around you with physical animation) to remind ourselves of who we are every morning upon waking and every evening before falling off to sleep.  You can speak, sing, chant or rap them.  Most importantly, is to have fun with them and to do them often throughout the day.

You’ll want to speak to yourself in the first, second and third person (You, I AM, Me, He/She, Her/Him ) as that’s how we identify ourselves in the world and be sure to state your name whenever possible.  You may want to point to yourself in a mirror and touch your heart chakra which is located in the center of your chest.  This will provide you with visual, audible and touch sensations of confirmation that … “yes, this is for magnificent, beautiful you!”

This will raise your self-esteem, increase your confidence, retrain the subconscious mind and quiet your inner-critic so you can vibrationally align with all that you desire.  Be sure to do a little dance and put a strut in there as this is you owning it energetically; mind, body, spirit and emotionally.

  • Stacey is loved.  I AM lovable.  You are loving.  I love you Stacey.  Love surrounds me wherever I am.  She is lovable.  Everyone loves her.
  • I AM beautiful.  You are beautiful (Your Name).  Beauty surrounds me.  She is beautiful.  (Your Name) is beautiful.
  • I AM harmonious.  My life is in harmony with the Universe.  (Your Name) life is balanced.
  • It’s okay for (Your Name) to be rich.  You are successful.  I AM wealthy.  Abundance surrounds me wherever I go.  (Your Name) is prosperous.  Opportunities always finds me or her.  She is generous.  Throw twenty $1.00 bills in the air to float down over you.

Here are more truths to include in your affirmation bath:

You are enough • cherished • worthy and deserving • smart • blessed • blessing • exceptional • miraculous • cheerful • significant • successful • vibrant • sexy • optimistic • positive • creative • rich • confident • trustworthy • valuable • healthy • tone and fit • at your perfect weight • courageous • prosperous • generous • gorgeous • sweet • magnificent • funny • fun • talented • adored • intelligent • incredible • fabulous • cherished • playful • energetic • forgiven • forgiving • compassionate • safe • desired • youthful • powerful • strong • brave • unlimited • joyful • has right-relationships with others • you are perfect just as you are right now!

Performing this exercise between 3-5 times a day or more over the next ninety days will create a positive effect on your overall well-being and will energetically increase your momentum of vibrationally aligning yourself with more of what you desire as you begin living the life of your dreams with purpose and passion.

From the time I was a little girl my mother would tell me to “tone it down” “ladies are mild mannered and quiet”. She would apologize to people and say, “Kathy is high strung. We’re working on that” I always thought there was something wrong with me. As a result I dimmed my light. Now I prefer to let my natural effervescence bubble right out! I am less guarded, and happier than ever, and I know God gifted me for a reason! I love the incantations! They make me feel like a million bucks!

I totally dim my light to this day based on some experiences I had as a ninth grader. I was called conceited, and left with no friends after my dad put me on speed induced diet where I lost 25 pounds. Jealously at that age can be very damaging, and coming into my own again is only starting to happen with taking this Peace Love Wings® Mind, Body, Spirit Practitioner and Facilitator Certification Program. I stand in my power. I am good enough to receive all of the gifts the universe has to offer. I am not conceited. I am powerful, confident, strong, brave, beautiful and damaged in just the exact way to make me who I am today, which is a compassionate, loving person ready to give my gifts away!

Self-confidence is difficult for many people. When one calls a person arrogant often times they are mistaking jealousy. They are jealous that they do not own that confidence. We should all be proud to be able to love ourselves! High self-esteem is healthy!

It’s sad that our fear can take us away from our true selves at times, but it makes me happy to kick fear’s butt with loving energy! Thanks for the reminder.
