Kyanite means “blue” in Greek, which is the typical color of this amazing stone. These stones were mined in Brazil and their natural unique striated color is breathtaking. There is also green and yellow Kyanite which are considered to be rare stones.
Kyanite (blue) represents the throat chakra, which is positioned at the base of the throat. It governs the throat, neck, arms and hands. Kyanite promotes verbal self expression, creativity and is excellent for meditation. Kyanite is a protection stone that dispels negative energy. Kyanite resonates with the astrological signs of Pisces and Taurus.
It immediately aligns the chakras and subtle bodies, bringing tranquility and a calming effect to the whole being. It is an exceptional stone for transitioning into deep meditative states.
This natural crystal will aid you to develop intuition as well as enhancing psychic abilities overall. It will take you to the higher spiritual planes and stimulate the higher mind. This is such a high vibration stone that it will work on all parts of the body and therefore, may be used on any chakra.
It will provide a safe haven for those who are carrying out healing. It is a strong spiritual grounding crystal, and it is well known for its action to also ground any excess vibrations stimulated by the spiritual journey as well. It is an excellent stone for those doing spiritual work as it has a strong energy for psychic protection, protecting you from psychic attack.
Keep a piece in your pocket, and if you want to take advantage of (blue) Kyanite’s excellent ability to promote lucid dreams, put a piece under the pillow.
Like the gemstone Citrine, Kyanite is one of the two minerals on the planet that neither accumulates nor retains negative energy and therefore, never needs cleansing. Kyanite’s energy is unlimited in application, making it an excellent stone for metaphysical purposes, and it may be used for cleansing and clearing other crystals.
Kyanite inspires loyalty and fair treatment to others. It assists in working through disagreements and disputes; and can aid in repairing damaged relationships. It is beneficial in negotiations, diplomatic missions, arbitration and other forms of communication between disharmonious people, allowing disparate energies to move into resonance and find a common frequency.
In the workplace, Kyanite promotes good communication, bridging the gap between different beliefs and ideas, and encourages self-expression and speaking one’s truth. Hold or wear Kyanite when addressing a group, or leading a seminar or team meeting. It sharpens communication skills, and is particularly helpful when answering questions or when there is a need to improvise.
For those who have lost their way in life, or are trying to break a cycle of self-destructive behavior, use Kyanite in an empowerment grid to get back on track. Lay out rows of small Kyanite blades radiating from a central Kyanite in six different directions. Use each night to walk a different path in the mind, letting images and ideas take form spontaneously. Continue until you no longer need the grid.
Kyanite’s high spiritual energy enhances one’s psychic abilities, and allows for a closer connection and transfer of information from higher beings. It assists in opening the Third Eye during mediation and healing sessions, and may be used to enhance telepathy between two persons, or between healing facilitator and client. It is an excellent tool for Crystal Resonance Therapy and other forms of crystal-based healing.
Kyanite covers all Chakras. The (blue) primarily is for the Throat Chakra and the Third Eye Chakra. Archangel Gabriel governs the Throat Chakra and assists in communication and artistic creations.
Gabriel is one of two Archangels specifically named in the Bible (the other being Michael). Archangel Gabriel’s primary stone is copper (symbol of a trumpet) which is used to inspire creativity in the arts of writing, music, painting, drawing and all other venues of artistic creation and expression. Archangel Gabriel is known both as the masculine and feminine Archangel.
Archangel Zadkiel governs the Third Eye Chakra and is the ultimate spiritual professor with access to all knowledge. He interprets the prophecy and gives us the meaning of life. He opens our eyes and mind; and leads us to think and understand. He guides us to the truth through the study at all levels. He guides us especially if we want to study religion and belief; and encourages us to use the best from here. He assists of so that we find the Divine light in ourselves. He helps us also to forgive others and move forward with our lives and he is asking us to behave kindly, wise and to be generous. Finally, he teaches us to speak the truth and he give us the key to our “Third Eye” so that things will be perfectly clear. He is a part of the great Father, the Mastermind I Am.
Mohs’ Mineral Hardness Scale: Along axis 4-4.5 / across 6-7
Kyanite specimens have a variable hardness. The long crystals have a Mohs hardness of about 4.5 to 5, if tested parallel to the length of a crystal and a hardness of 6.5 to 7, if tested across the short dimension of a crystal. The mineral was once commonly called “disthene” which means “two strengths”.
