The question asked is, can one person affect the outcome of another persons desires and choices? The answer is… only if it is what they are wanting.
For example, if your child wants to be a Rock Star but you would prefer them to be a Doctor, you cannot change their course of destiny by doing visualization techniques and affirmations to change that for them. There is something called free-will, which thankfully we are all individually entitled to.
If you are affirming, visualizing, and speaking what they are wanting, then absolutely you can add and enhance the positive energy to helping them achieve their dreams. If you are affirming, visualizing, and speaking against whatever their true hearts desires are, then you are only holding resistance towards yourself. You cannot vibrationally hold a vision for someone other than their own.
To be effective in helping another attain their dreams, visualize them succeeding by doing their passion with joy, and that vibrational alignment you are emanating, will benefit not only them achieving their dreams, but also you for showing unconditional love and compassion for another soul. Regardless if you understand or agree with what your child is wanting to do in life, the best way to help them succeed is to honor their passion and true souls desires.
One way you can show support is by enrolling them into music lessons. Not only are they vibrationally putting it out there by visualizing and affirming, but by taking an action-step towards the music genre will immensely, and positively impact bringing around their desired outcome. This way too, they can discover for themselves if it is a good fit for them or not.
The most important message is to teach them to always believe in themselves and to follow their dreams! They may always hold a passion for music and yet prefer to do something else down the road. After all, I still thoroughly enjoy my bouts of drum and air guitar!
I thought this was the perfect analogy as my daughter Priscilla wants to be a Ballerina, Singer, Rock Star when she grows up!!! After asking for a real one for over 2 years, Santa brought her a pink Daisy Rock guitar this past Christmas as that is all she asked for when she saw him, and she not only plays, but writes and sings her own songs! She’s an awesome Kindergartener!
Being a parent is not always the easiest, but having an open heart and truly listening to your child is the greatest gift and honor you could ever give them. I am amazed at how much Priscilla teaches me every day.
