“It’s amazing the healing you can do energetically within your own blood lines to bring about genetic healing. You’ve heard the age-old saying,”The sins of the Father will be passed down to the children.” What that means is genetically, we receive the tangible forms of energy and characteristics from our ancestors through our blood line which forms our DNA. This is where our genetic energy is passed down, and determines for each person who will have blue eyes, or green, blonde, or dark hair, our skin coloring is determined, height, bone structure, and stature, etc. It’s amazing to look back at family pictures from 100 plus years ago, and see ME in people who lived such a long time ago. Those of whom I’ve never met, and yet, I clearly have their physical attributes!
We also receive our ancestors intangible forms of energy which is their thoughts, hopes, dreams, and even fears. You have the power to energetically send love, and heal those fears that may have been adopted in your DNA. You also have the power to heal the relationship with your Mother, and Father through this process too. The importance is because, if you do not heal the genetic relationship with your Mother, and her blood line of intangible energy, you will not be able to receive all of the gifts that God, and the Universe has for you. If you do not heal the intangible forms with your Father, and his blood line, you will feel the Universe is being unkind to you. Energetically your Mother is your ability to receive in all aspects of your life, and your Father is your ability to give.
This published article of mine will give you the clarity on not only healing, and re-writing your history but the opportunity to begin anew with your genetic generations from here on out! You have the power to provide an AMAZING gift to give, not only your parents, and grandparents from generations back, but the gift you’ll give to your children, and future grandchildren for generations to come!
This article was written specifically for a Mother’s Day issue, yet applies to both parents. Happy Healing, and Happy Mother’s Day!”
Each one of us has been blessed with both a Mother to birth us into this world or we wouldn’t physically be here. For some of us that relationship is one of nurturing, happiness, and joy, for some it has been an experience of difficulties, and opposition; and for others it’s perhaps even unknown. The majority of us most likely has experienced all the above at some point throughout our relationship with our Mother.
In pursuing personal development, we are reminded of how magnificent we are; that we are perfect, beautiful, talented, creative, healthy, prosperous, intelligent, all-knowing, and loved as the primary foundation, and birthright of our core essence of Being. We recognize the truth, and the depths of the who of who we are, as an eternal source of spiritual energy, and an extension of God/Goddess manifested into physical form. We are awakening, and learning how to connect, love, honor, and nurture ourselves; and learning how to heal, and release all that no longer serves you, by providing yourself with what you didn’t fully receive earlier in life, at some level in order to rebuild your self-confidence, self-esteem, and to live the life of your dreams with purpose and passion!
We acknowledge our life experiences are a reflection from within, and are now willing to explore what needs to be healed so that you may become the fullest expression of who YOU were created to be. We begin to understand whether our experiences were good or bad, that your Mother was doing the best she could with what she knew based on her own personal life experiences and conscious awakening at that moment. You are now willing to take full responsibility for the healing process through offering forgiveness, and compassion; to release all of the baggage you’ve been carrying around, to remove the barriers you’ve put in place for your so called protection, and to overcome the obstacles that are standing in your way so that you can open your heart to love, and spread your wings and fly. Sometimes this realization occurs once we become Mother’s ourselves, or when we are a surrogate to the other children in the world as we go about our day. We are able to provide them with the essential gift of unconditional LOVE from either our own personal experiences of what we were so blessed to receive as a child, or by having the ability of knowing what we needed because it wasn’t our experience. Regardless of what your initial experience was, this is when you recognize there is an unbreakable eternal bond between YOU, and your Mother, and it’s one of the purest unconditional loves ever known, whether she was able to physically, emotionally, and mentally nurture, and demonstrate it to you or not. This is when Divine healing can restore, and for some, literally begin to rewrite your history with your Mother through the grace of God.
I didn’t realize the magnitude of importance I shared above, until having my daughter 8 years ago. It was then life prompted me to work on clearing whatever issues were holding me back in life, so as to not pass those vibrational energies that resulted in fear, anger, resentment, guilt, insecurities, abandonment, lack or limitations of any kind, which ultimately disconnected me from love, whether consciously, or unconsciously onto her genetically, emotionally, or mentally. As President, Harry S. Truman’s sign on his desk in the Oval Office read … “the buck stops here!” It was then that I was able to gain the appreciation of where each one of us are in our school of life, and I began to understand that we can only teach, give, and share that of which we are, and have received through our own personal development and growth; and that everyone is doing the very best that they can with what they know, and with where they are depending on the level of awakening they are at in that moment, or perhaps even in this lifetime, regardless of their age, gender, or title.
Through doing this work I’ve been able to release so much of what was holding me back, as I’m still very much a work in progress, but what I’ve found is by focusing on my desires versus my fears, or the way it was, is that I can heal and transform what was not perhaps my initial loving experience from childhood, and be given a second opportunity to rewrite history from a higher perspective, and experience a glorious childhood through raising my daughter, and allowing my inner-child to play. By understanding my own Mother’s lack of consciousness, which directly affected most of my life experiences, provided me the clarity I needed to move beyond my limitations, to the point that I worked on healing it energetically from a generational DNA aspect to include her Mother, and her Mother’s Mother, and so on. As from a cellular and energetic perspective, we do pass onto our children however small, the remnants on all aspects of who we are, which also includes our intangible forms of thoughts, desires, and fears.
I’m forever grateful beyond what my words could ever convey for the precious gift of my beautiful daughter Priscilla Grace, as by working on me for her, not only have I been blessed to experience a Mother’s love through my Grandma Grace, but I have been given the priceless gift of providing my daughter with a Mother’s true unconditional nurturing LOVE!
My hope for each one of you on this Mother’s Day is that you will celebrate the gift your Mother gave to you with her Divine unconditional eternal love, and for those who are Mother’s, to cherish God’s greatest treasures given unto you in a child! Happy Mother’s Day!

SPIRIT SEEKER MAGAZINE: RESOURCES FOR THE MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT!
I always believed our family carried a curse from generations before. I was determined to be the link that broke that chain. I did not want it to continue with me or my children. We may look like generations before us, but that’s all we have in common with them.
Well I won’t go into it, but my husband and I made a conscious decision to raise our children away from our extended family so that our children would have a chance to not become alcoholics. So far this has been the greatest decision we ever could have made. To look at our children, and the children of our friends and family is astounding! Their children were around adults drinking every night of the week, whereas we own two Sports Bars, but never drank in front of our children, and today they barely drink, even with the genetic disposition. We were very serious and hoping to not carry on the alcoholism that runs in my husband’s family, and it thus far, it seems we have been successful with it.
Just think how blessed your grand children will be to be raised by your daughter, and to have you and your husband for grandparents. That is worth all the work. Thank you for empowering us all to heal our ancestral relationships.
It’s inspiring! Thank you dear Dr. Maxwell. I am gradually understanding and accepting that no matter how a person experienced from his/ her childhood with Mom. That’s the “SHOULD” and “MUST” and “BEST” he/ she has to experience for his spiritual growth and healing in this life. Thanks God and thanks Mom!
Having my Mom transition at an early age, 68, was truly the hardest thing I had to endure in my life. I have learned so much from this whole process of LIFE, and through working with you and taking your Peace Love Wings® Mind, Body, Spirit Practitioner and Workshop Facilitator Certification Program, has given me the thorough understanding by doing the exercises and learning the knowledge which are shared in this article, life is truly amazing.
What a wonderful article! Thanks for the words of wisdom!
My mother is my best friend. She has gotten me through some really hard times. I could only hope to be to my daughter as my mom was to me.
Extremely fascinating post! If only we could ALL love each other unconditionally! The world would be a much happier place!!!
So beautiful, Dr. Maxwell!!!
I was so lucky to have my mom till her last day. My mom was everything to me. She was my best friend … my Angel!!!!!!
I thought that I had done the work I needed to do on understanding my mother, but reading this article makes me realize the main job was forgiveness. Thanks for this important and much needed lesson!

Great article … so powerful when we do this work … the ripples of benefit to our family and the world are infinite!
This is absolute truth! I have been blessed with two beautiful people as my parents. Through all of my peaks and valleys, twists and turns – they have loved me unconditionally and guided me without expectations and in turn I do the same for others. I listen, I resist judgment and I love without fear as I have been guided by my parents. I am the youngest of four and each one of us are all unique individuals – the one thing we all share are the core characteristics that our parents embody.
